What does this guy think?

I was just looking at this BBC Article:

The article goes on to say:

“I, as much as anyone else, wants to bring our troops back home to safety, but we cannot leave a vacuum which the Taliban will quickly fill,” he said.

When troops eventually leave, they have to do so “knowing we will not have to return”, he stressed. “This is not a war without end, but success must be based on aligning our military and civilian resources behind a clear political strategy.”

“This is not a war without an end” ?? Really, that’s what you have to say about it?

Just make something happen. Set some deadline and a plan and go for it. And learn some grammar.
