Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has pencilled in a return date for winger Antonio Valencia.
The Ecuadorian international broke his leg playing against Rangers in the Champions League group stage earlier this season and has missed 6 months action with the injury.
His return has been pencilled in for the FA Cup quarter final, against either Arsenal or Leyton Orient on 12th March.
The 25 year-old was playing well before his injury, and has returned to full contact training in the last two weeks and is progressing well.
“Antonio is training very well now,” said the United boss.
“He is involved on the contact side and the signs are very encouraging. We expect him to be ready by the Arsenal cup tie.”
United have lost seven players to injury, including Anderson, who limped out of their 1-0 win against no-league Crawley Town in the FA Cup on Saturday.
“Anderson got injured in the first half on Saturday,” Ferguson added.
“We have sent him to Portugal to see a specialist he has dealt with over there. That will be two weeks – three at the most.
“Ryan Giggs should be okay for the Wigan game on Saturday, while Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans should be back for the Chelsea game next week.
“We have missed Park Ji-sung because he has been such a good player for us, but he should be back in two or three weeks.”
