US Tennis star, Serena Williams has thanked all her fans for the support they gave her during treatment for a blood clot in her lungs.
The mutli grand slam winner had emergency medical attention earlier this week, for a hematoma that had developed after a pulmonary embolism the star had suffered.
Serena released a statement through US Weekly, and said, “Thank you everyone for all of your prayers, concerns and support,”
“This has been extremely hard, scary and disappointing. I am doing better now and working with my doctors to keep everything under control.”
The star has been released from hospital, but remains under medical supervision and looks set to miss both the French Open and Wimbledon.
