Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has promised to make changes at the club if his team beat the drop this season.
Stoke have struggled more this campaign than they normally do in the Premier League, and Pulis wants to improve his squad so they can move to the next level next season.
He is being widely linked with a £4million move for Stephen Warnock, an England international who hasn’t been getting into the Aston Villa first team under new boss Gerard Houllier.
Stoke are still 6 points shy of the 40 point mark, but still look on course to stay up.
“If we stay up this year, there will be lots of changes,” Pulis told the Daily Express.
“They won’t be massive, but certainly changes within the club and the group which will enable to push on again.
“It’s not a case of shaking it up, it’s about being solid enough that if things did go a bit wobbly, we would be able to maintain the progress and stability we’ve built over the previous three years.”
