Everton manager David Moyes has revealed knocking Chelsea out of the FA Cup was a special feeling after his team dumped out last season’s Premier League champions on penalties today.

After a goalless game in normal time Frank Lampard put Chelsea ahead in extra time, and Leighton Baines equalised with a fantastic free-kick before Everton won 4-3 on penalties.

Moyes was very impressed with his team’s performance, and told his clubs official website, “I’m just smiling and feeling really good that we’ve beaten Chelsea.

“We could talk a lot about what has happened but I think the feeling for Everton to knock Chelsea out of the cup was really great.

“The players were right on the money today. They were right at it from the off.”

David Moyes dedicated the win to his fans, who have not had too much to cheer about this season. Over 6,000 of them travelled to London to see their teams win.

“The fans were brilliant today, we needed it and they needed it as well,” said Moyes.

“They’ve not seen enough good Everton team performances this season, but they certainly saw one today.
