Manchester City made light work of Notts County in the FA Cup, as they ran out 5-0 winners at the Manchester Stadium.
City deservedly took the lead after the half hour, when Patrick Viera headed home at the near post from a David Silva corner.
Mancini’s men deserved the lead and pressed on for a second. However County hung on and went in at the break 1-0 down.
The League One side came out full of energy in the second half and gave City little time on the ball, as they looked for an unlikely equaliser.
It looked as though County might actually get something out of the game, with Balotelli having another unimpressive performance for City.
However, veteran midfielder Viera made it 2-0 to the home side just before the half hour, with another converted header, this time from an a delightful Kolarov cross into the box.
Carlos Tevez was also having a quiet game by his standards for City, but that all changed when a touch of class form the Argentine made it 3-0 in the 84th minute.
Dzeko played the tricky Argentine through the County defence with a lovely pass, before Tevez went round the keeper to finish superbly.
Viera had a chance to score his hat-trick two minutes later, but his miss controlled header could not find the target.
Tevez then turned provider to return the favour to strike partner Dzeko, when his chip to the back post was headed home by the new City striker.
City were not finished, and Micah Richards added to County’s misery when he took advantage of a poor County clearance to fire home and send City cruising into the next round.
