Liverpool’s owners, The Fenway Sports group have revealed that Liverpool have still not entered talks with Kenny Dalglish about a new contract.
John W Henry, the clubs principal owner revealed that despite the success on the pitch under Dalglish since he took over from Roy Hodgson, reports that a two year deal had been agreed were not true.
Henry also insisted that the club hadn’t even started talks yet, but suggested they may be ready to discuss a long term deal in the near future.
“The only discussion we’ve had has been with Kenny and that was solely concerning when we should begin discussions,” Henry said.
“I wouldn’t anticipate any further comments until such discussions have commenced and we have something to announce.
“Any reports until then are purely speculation.”
