Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that his United team have missed Ecuadorian winger, Antonia Valencia this season.
Valencia broke his ankle on Champions League duty against Rangers at the beginning of the season and has been out of action since.
Despite initial medical reports saying he could be out for the rest of the season, Valencia has recovered quickly and has been back in training for a month now.
The 25 year-old could feature in United’s FA Cup 6th round clash with Arsenal on Saturday, and Ferguson revealed he was delighted to have the winger back.
“He was fantastic last season, absolutely brilliant,” said Ferguson
“He was a great signing, he really was.
“The great thing about him was he takes the ball with such great strength and balance. He can take the ball up to the other end of the pitch for you. We missed that pace and acceleration.
“Although Nani has done fantastic – I mean he’s been a revelation this season – we’ve missed that.”
