Injured Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is choosing to look at the competitions Arsenal are still in, rather than looking back at the Carling Cup loss.
Arsenal may have lost 2-1 at Wembley yesterday to Birmingham, but are still second in the Premier League, and well set in both the FA Cup and Champions League.
Fabregas missed the final at Wembley with an injury and will sit out his team’s fifth round FA Cup replay with Leyton Orient on Wednesday night.
Fabregas turned to Twitter to tweet, “Congratulations to Birmingham. This team has great potential and there are still great targets to play for this season. Thanks for your support.”
“I am very sorry that we could not bring CC back to north London,” said Van Persie on his feed, “Thanks for your support today. Sorry again.”
19 year-old Jack Wilshere added, “All I can say is sorry to the fans. It hurts a lot, I know, but we must all stick together. Still in 2 other comps! [sic] We have to move on. Sorry.”
