Arsenal captain Cecs Febregas hopes his displays for Arsenal this season have demonstrated his commitment to his club.
Fabregas was courted by his hometown club Barcelona in the summer, and made public his desire to swap the Emirates for the Nou Camp, but Barcelona only offered a measly £30million, and Fabregas stayed put.
Fabregas played a vital role in Arsenals 2-1 beating of Barcelona on Wednesday night, and played the vital ball to Nasri, who then set up Arshavin for the Arsenal winner.
Just yesterday financenews reported that Adebayor had called for Real Madrid to bid for the Arsenal captain, and his future will be subject to further speculation in the summer no doubt.
But Fabregas wants to forget all that for the time being, and concentrate on a tough few games that include Leyton Orient in the FA cup, Birmingham in the League Cup final and Stoke in the Premier League, before the return leg with Barcelona in the Nou Camp.
Fabregas said: “I’m showing I’m committed to this club and we want to do great things.
“I want to continue working to improve and help us win trophies. We are still fighting in all four competitions.
“We want to win everything and go the farthest possible in all competitions.
“My future is the last thing on my mind.”
