Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has come out fighting ahead of Wednesday night’s Emirates clash against Barcelona.
The team widely regarded as the finest in world club football tried to buy Fabregas in the summer, but eventually conceded that they could not afford him.
Arsenal play Barcelona again this season after losing out to the Catalan giants at the quarter final stage this time last year, and will be looking to avenge that defeat.
Last time round the Gunners drew 2-2 at home, after coming from 2-0 down, before seeing the Lionel Messi who destroy them at the Nou Camp, as they lost 4-1.
Spanish World Cup winner Fabregas believes they can learn from last year, and have the right game to down the Spanish champions, but paid tribute to their quality.
“We don’t have to worry too much about them – we just have to play with no fear and play our game.
“We respected them too much last season, in the first half especially.
“We know they are the best team in the world and it is a big task for us. We have a young team but one with a lot of quality and energy.”
“It is difficult to learn from last year.
“They are such a good team. Even if you know everything, they have so many quality players that can make the difference.”
