Liverpool have been handed a double boost for the season run in as both Daniel Agger and Jonjo Shelvey returned to the training ahead of the tie.
The news will come as a welcomed boost for manager Kenny Dalglish who has already lost Steven Gerrard for a month through injury.
Both Shelvey and Agger have been missing for Liverpool since sustaining knee injuries in February.
However, both players are not expected to be fit for Liverpool’s must win Europa League clash with Braga this Thursday.
Manger Dalglish told the Liverpool website:
“Daniel Agger is improving. He is back training. Jonjo is back training as well.
“Daniel is closer than Jonjo.”
The Scotsman also confirmed that full backs Martin Kelly and Fabio Aurelio who both sustained injuries in recent weeks are still not ready to return to action.
“Fabio and Martin are doing a little bit but haven’t joined in with too much exercise yet,” Dalglish added.
“They are all progressing.”
Liverpool trail Braga 1-0 from the first leg.
