Blackpool captain Charlie Adam has been sent to see a specialist to get to the bottom of a mystery abdominal injury.
The Scottish star has been the heartbeat of Blackpool’s success in the Premier League this season, but has been suffering abdominal problems after games.
Adam picked up a two match ban after his 10th booking of the season against Spurs so will have a chance for a rest.
Boss Holloway said, “Charlie went to see a specialist about something that’s happening to him,”
“We want to sort it out.”
Ian Holloway was also quick to praise his loanee from Rangers, James Beattie, who helped the team beat Tottenham in midweek despite losing his Dad last week.
“He lost his dad last week and still played in the reserves on Monday,” added Holloway.
“You wouldn’t have known he has lost his dad. It’s happened to me, so I know how hard it is. So to do what he did was total professionalism.”
Holloway has enjoyed having the former Southampton man at the club.
“He has done so much in his career and we are lucky to have him,” continued Holloway. “He has so much strength of mind and aggression. The other night I felt sorry for Michael Dawson when Beattie went up for a header.
“You can make runs off the back of him, knowing he will get the ball to you.
