Gareth Bale is set to give Tottenham Hotspur fans the news they had been praying for as it seems likely he will be back in time for the second leg at home to AC Milan.
Spurs will be looking to turn the screw against AC Milan, who they beat 1-0 away from home on Tuesday night.
AC Milan have a host of quality players and Tottenham will have to be at their best to go through in two weeks time, despite their lead.
The likes of Robinho and Ibrahimovic will be looking to make amends for their poor performance in the San Siro, and Flamini will be available, despite his horror tackle on Corluka.
One man who won’t be playing for Milan is Gatuso, who as well as picking up a booking that earned him a one game ban for this match, also faces further disciplinary action for his headbutt on Spurs assistant manager Joe Jordan.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was confident he could call on Bale for the return, and said, “I’m really looking forward to it.”
“Hopefully we’ll have Bale back, and he and Lennon have got such pace.”
Redknapp knows the tie is far from over, adding, “I’m sure they will come back at us, but it was a fantastic night.”
