Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Adebayor has further stoked his hate hate relationship with the Arsenal fans by suggesting Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas would be an ideal signing for his loan side, Real Madrid.
The Togolese striker is currently owned by Manchester City, but moved to Madrid in January as cover for injured Higuain, and as he was getting no first team football at City.
His current loan deal with Real Madrid runs until the end of the season, when the Spanish giants have the chance to sign him permanently, although he has only scored once so far for the second placed team in Spain, despite numerous chances.
Adebayor played wih Fabregas at Arsenal, and feels the Spanish international could offer a lot to Real, who would be keen to sign the player just to keep him out of the hand’s of fierce rivals, Barcelona, who failed in a bid to sign the midfielder in the summer.
“I had the chance to play with Cesc for some years and I would love to have him here as a team-mate,” Adebayor said.
“He is a great player and a great person. If he came to Real Madrid he would be very happy. He would be a great acquisition for the team.”
