Home Prices are Higher Compared to Last Year

Data released by the office of the Land Registry shows that home prices in England and Wales fell by 0.2 percent in December – meaning prices are still higher by 1.5 percent compared to same period, last year.

Average house prices were recorded at £164,773 for the month of December, the government agency data revealed.

Growth in housing prices have remained stunted for some time due to tight mortgage approvals from lenders and economic uncertainty weighing on the mind of prospective buyers.
