The Bank of America have appointed a new director to their board in the form of Indian Billionaire, Mukesh Ambani, who is currently boss if India’s Reliance Indsutries.
The bank, who have made Ambani the first ever non US-citizen board member, are thought to be trying to extend their global reach, and see Ambani’s standing in India as a good opportunity to reach across the world.
Mukesh Ambani will stand for election of the bank’s annual general meeting, due to be held next month.
Ambani is currently head of Reliance Industries, and has been since 2002. The company is the largest private one in India, and has annual revenues of £27billion.
