AstraZeneca lead the progress train early this morning as it had gains of over 4%.
Joel Kruger, currency strategist at Daily FX said: “All things considered, the UK markets are quite vulnerable at present and could be in for quite a disturbing day on Thursday. While data of late has been encouraging, the Bank of England is still on the whole quite dovish, and the state of the global economy is still very much in question.”
Wall Street finished in the red yesterday with growing concern the world’s largest economy is suffering a slowdown in growth.
Early on the FTSE 100 is up 25 at 5,345.
