Actress and Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has lost the baby boy she was expecting, her agent has confirmed. Amanda and her husband Chris Hughes are ‘utterly devastated’ after losing their unborn baby, which is the second miscarriage for them in the last year.
The popular Britain’s Got Talent judge, 39, was seven months pregnant with a boy when she noticed problems this week. Amanda was then was rushed to West Middlessex Hospital, West London, on Tuesday when she noticed the baby wasn’t moving. Despite attempts by doctors to save the baby, he was later stillborn.
When she announced in January that she was expecting her second child, she also revealed she had suffered a miscarriage last May. Her previous miscarriage is what made her decide to wait so long until announcing her most recent pregnancy. The couple have a five-year-old daughter called Lexi.
The couple’s spokeswoman Alison Griffin said: “Amanda had been closely monitored throughout her pregnancy and it is not yet known what went wrong.”
