Catherine Zeta Jones has told reporters that Michael Douglas is still the most important man in her life. The 66 year old actor looks to have finally won his battle with cancer, having battled with the horrific disease for the last few years.
The couple have two children, Dylan, 10 and Carys, who is 7, but the Welsh actress still ranks her relationship with Michael as the most important thing, after been told to make sure that was the case by Michaels dad Kirk Douglas.
Catherine said, “Kirk said, ‘The most important person in your life is your partner because with children and friends, they grow and eventually leave the nest.’
“It’s true, at the end of the day it is just you and your partner.”
Catherine is 41, 25 years her husband’s junior, but the couple have remained happy since getting married in 2000 and Catherine told us how lucky she feels to have met him.
She said: “I do think I’m lucky I met Michael. Not just Michael Douglas the actor and producer with two Oscars on the shelf, but Michael Douglas the love of my life. I really do think it was meant to happen.”
