The winning EuroMillions lottery ticket is worth 113 million pounds.

There is a new millionaire in Britain. Someone’s life has taken an entirely new direction in the midst of economic times that are quite financially difficult. The change has come at great odds, literally 76,275,360 to 1, as someone picked the correct numbers in the 113 million pound EuroMillions jackpot.

The lucky numbers for the country’s largest jackpot to date were 9, 30, 35, 39, 46 and the lucky star numbers were 6 and 8. The previous record for the highest win was a lucky jackpot for 84.4 million that was won in May.

There is a possibility that the winning ticket belongs to more than one person, in which the jackpot would be shared. There is no way to know if it belongs to one or many until the ticket is claimed.

A spokesman for the UK EuroMillions office said: “This is fantastic news – we’re absolutely delighted to have such a massive UK win.

“This is the biggest lottery jackpot prize ever paid out to an individual in this country. We have plenty of champagne on ice and are looking forward to welcoming the lucky ticket holder to the National Lottery Millionaires’ Club.”

Winning such a large amount of money at once can be both a blessing and a curse. There are many stories of lottery winners being unable to handle the enormous amount of money and overspending themselves into poverty, broken marriages, and into addictions. Some however seek good advice from financial experts and do well with the wins, making good investments, donating to charities, and learning to say “No” to the many that will come calling for handouts. The Euromillions Web site has an article instructing the winner of a jackpot ticket how to handle the basic steps after realizing they have won, including keeping quiet and learning to defend their winnings.

The winning ticket will throw someone into the level of earnings shared by many top movie stars, recording artists, and top business earners.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Camelot have now revealed the ticket was bought in Coventry over the counter. So anyone from Coventry who hasn’t got around to checking your ticket yet – now might be a very good time :-)
