A chairman for the Fox network which will be hosting the 2011 X Factor show in America says it has really created an unprecedented buzz in the States.
Fox bosses had hoped for high ratings with the show, but don’t seem too concerned at the moment as auditions seem to be going well and projecting viewing figures are on the up.
Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Paula Abdul and LA Reid will be on the judging panel, supported by Welsh heart throb Steve Jones and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger as hosts. With such big names on the roster, Fox is confident the show will be a success.
Contrary to Cowell’s other show, American Idol, The X Factor allows a much wider age range for auditions and welcomes all types of talents – making X Factor the ultimate talent show that will appeal to a wider audience.
“There’s an excitement and a buzz around the show that we’ve never seen before,” said Peter Rice, Fox network chairman.
