The remaining tickets released for this year’s T in the Park were sold out in less than an hour today as music fans grabbed the chance to see their favourite acts.

Earlier this week organisers announced that Coldplay, the Foo Fighters and Artic Monkeys would be amongst the acts performing at the festival.

Also announced were Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Plan B and Tom Jones who will make his first T in the Park appearance at Balado, near Kinross.

Tickets, which went on sale at 9am, this morning were gone before 10.

Geoff Ellis, festival director for DF Concerts, said: “We are delighted to have an exceptionally strong line-up for 2011 but you can’t be complacent, it’s still as momentous for us to sell out now as it was the first time around and we’re thrilled.

“It’s great to know 85,000 music lovers think we’ve made the right choices and that they are as excited about the gates opening on July 8th as we are.”

The festival will take place the weekend of the 8th-10th July, and will include over 50 acts.
