Actress Rosamund Pike is closing in on playing the role of Andromeda in the “Clash of the Titans” sequel which will begin filming next month.
The part, which was played by Alexa Davalos last year, is available again after Alexa decided not to reprise her role as the rescued princess.
The first film did extremely well, grossing just over £300million, and the second film will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman, and will be released in March next year.
Set to return for the sequel are Sam Worthington (Perseus), Liam Neeson (Zues), Ralph Fiennes (Hades) and Gemma Arterton (Io).
Rosamund has had a successful year, starring in British films, Barneys Version, Made in Dagenham and An Education, as well as The Big Year and Johnny English Reborn, which are out later this year.
The former bond girl is starting to make pretty big waves in Hollywood.
