Reports have formed in Hollywood suggesting that Rihanna will be cast to star in the remake of 1990s hit film, The Bodyguard.
The 1992 hit romantic film originally featured Kevin Costner and Whitney Housten and gave the world the number on hit song, I Will always Love You.
Warner Brothers have given the go ahead for an updated remake, which is due to be scripted by Nick Palmer and Jeremiah Friedman.
Rihanna made her acting debut last year, starring in Battleship, and has been tipped to be given the lead part in the new film. The original took over $400million worldwide, and it one of Warner Brothers biggest ever films.
Also being lined up for the role are Beyonce Knowles and Miley Cyrus, although Miley doesn’t quite have the voice to pull off the role, and Beyonce is already booked to star in Clint Eastwood’s remake of A Star is born.
The Bodyguard is rumoured to be played by GI Joe hunk, Channing Tatum.
