Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has suggested that she would like the convicted killer to one day walk free from prison.
After playing Knox in her latest film, ‘Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial’ Panettiere claims to ‘care’ about the murderer, who was convicted of brutally killing Meredith Kercher.
The actress revealed she couldn’t help but root for the killer, as she appeals against the conviction, and hopes that she one day get’s freed, whatever the result.
Speaking to the LA Times, she said, ”I’ve lived a very different life than her. She went to normal school and worked at a coffee shop and was just going over to Europe, and I grew up acting. But we’re both young girls. And I care about her. To a certain degree, guilty or innocent, I want to see her get out and be able to live the rest of her life. She’s someone that I root for.”
Knox is appealing her 26 year jail term after new forensic evidence emerged, and a jury will meet next month for her appeal.
