Owen Wilson has revealed that his six-week old son is already destined to follow in his father’s footsteps, adding that he already has stage presence.
Despite not being able to speak, crawl or sit up on his own, Robert Ford is already upstaging his movie star Dad.
“He’s not… a wonderful conversationalist at this point, but he kind of doesn’t have to be, he’s so cute – he becomes sort of a little scene stealer when he comes in the room,” 42 year-old Owen told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.
Owen is already comparing his son to Steve McQueen.
“[He's like] Steve McQueen in The Magnificent Seven, where he didn’t have a lot of dialogue. You just kind of gave him the camera and he was able to hold the screen,” he joked. “I feel like Ford is heading in that direction.”
Owens new film Hall Pass will be released her soon and he admitted that as exciting as being a dad is, it’s also very tiring.
“What they say about newborns, about [the parents] not getting a lot of sleep? That’s true. You look at every place now as a potential nap place… You’ve got to look for your chances to catch up,” he added.
