Nicole Kidman has opened up about the feelings of “pain and loss” she suffered while going through a rollercoaster ride with fertility”, trying to conceive.
Kidman, who recently welcomed Faith Margaret into the family via a gestational carrier.
The Moulin Rouge star was desperate to add to her family after giving birth to Sunday Rose in 2008, but had to turn to surrogacy to complete her family.
Speaking on Australian TV, she said, “Anyone that’s been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility. Fertility is such a big thing, and it’s not something I’ve ever run away from talking about.
“We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. This opportunity arose for us, and I couldn’t get pregnant.”
