Matt Damon has revealed he thinks the days when actors and actresses could create mystique around themselves are over.
The Bourne star spoke to the Metro, and said it’s much better to play around with the ideas of stardom instead.
Damon said in the paper, “I think those days of creating mystique around yourself are long gone. It’s sad when you see people trying to do it because it just doesn’t work any more. So why not have fun with it?”
Talking about being famous, Damon added: “‘When you first get famous, it’s really surreal. Everything about the way the world relates to you changes.
“And now that’s died down, I’ve been left alone to do the work I want to do. It’s perfect, I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
