Coronation Star Kym Marsh has revealed that she doesn’t want to have any more children after her latest one is born.
The star, who has been diagnosed with an incompetent cervix, has been speaking to OK! magazine and says she couldn’t cope with the stress of another pregnancy.
Kym told the magazine, “I couldn’t go through this again, it’s too heartbreaking. I can definitely say my childbearing days are over, I’m just not equipped to deal with it at the grand old age of 34.”
The actress is 26 weeks pregnant with her latest baby, with fiancé Jamie Lomas, after tragedy stuck in 2009, when her premature son, Archie, died just moments after childbirth.
Kym has two children from a previous relationship, David, 15, and Emily, 13, and revealed her condition can cause late miscarriage or premature birth.
“We don’t know the exact problems we had with Archie, although I hate that term late miscarriage because I gave birth to Archie at 21 weeks and he was a fully-formed human being.
“This pregnancy had been really difficult, a nightmare in fact. We’ve been on eggshells.”
The star has been given time off the soap to rest before the baby comes, and has a stitch in her cervix to protect the unborn baby.
Kym is now confident all will go well and added, “It’s been a rubbish time but it’s lovely when we see her on the scan and when I feel her wriggling.
“It will all be worth it if she arrives here safely. I have no doubt that whenever she gets here she’ll be A1. She’s our little miracle, that’s for sure.”
We’ll be keeping everything crossed for her.
