Katy Perry described her tough training regime and diet as ‘like training for the Olympics.’ The star already has a great looking body in the eyes of many, but she’s still training hard for her tour.
The tour, Californian Dreams, is Perry’s first worldwide tour and will see the 26 year old performing her biggest hits in a huge show.
In an interview with Rolling Stones magazine, ‘After this interview I’m going to have a nice healthy breakfast,’ she told the magazine.
‘I’m on a meal plan, which absolutely sucks…’
On Sundays I get to have a cheat day where I go buck wild and eat In-N-Out Burger.’
‘Then I’ll work out, go to a vocal lesson, run through the entire set at rehearsals, go to dance rehearsal until 10:00 p.m. and then go home and sort through e-mails concerning the production.
‘I feel like I’m training for the Olympics!’
Katy’s tour takes her to Lisbon in Portugal first, followed by dates in Austria, Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland. She’ll reach Britain in March.
The show is rumoured to involve 15 costume changes, and Perry is known for her outrageous outfits, rivalled only by Lady Ga Ga.
Perry, who is married to comic Russell Brand, isn’t worried about their relationship during the tour.
‘It’s not tricky because we’ve already planned it, like eight months in advance,’ she said. ‘That sounds absolutely crazy, but that’s how we have to do it.’
She added: ‘I want to live life and to be able to experience normal things, so that when I’m on stage singing the songs that I think hopefully relate to people, that I’m actually relating – not just singing material.
‘Some people I think would die on stage and I don’t want to die on stage. I want to be in love, have a future and hopefully be able to be inspired to write songs from that.’
