Strictly Come Dancing star Kara Tointon has become the first celebrity to break down on their Red Nose day charity desert trek.
The stars continued their walk in 102 degree heat, in a huge challenge which they hope will raise money for Comic Relief and help beat preventable diseases in Africa.
Scott Mills from Radio 1, Lorraine Kelly, Craig David, Olly Murs, Ronnie Ancona, Dermot O’Leary, Nadia Sawalha and Peter White have joined Kara Tointon on the epic trek.
Craig David commented, “This is so much harder than I ever thought and the heat is beyond anything I could have imagined. Walking in the midday heat is so intense but knowing that we are raising money with each step is keeping me going.”
X Factor star Olly Murs also added, “Yesterday was tough but it is harder than ever today and I’ve got the feeling that’s the way this is going to go. Each day is getting harder than the last as we get further and further into the desert.”
