Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp has revealed that he was an odd child when he was growing up.
He added that everyone thought he was a loner, and he was labelled as “very strange.”
“When I was growing up I felt a complete freak. Very strange,” Depp admitted. “I felt weird at five. At the age of 12, it was me against the world.
“I remember locking myself in the bedroom and playing my guitar. It seemed like I was in there for two or three years.”
Actor Depp has now got two children of his own with long-term partner Vanessa Paradis and insisted that his children and partner are the reason he has changed.
“The most important thing is that Vanessa has made me not have to pretend any more about who I am,” Depp added. “I feel comfortable with myself.”
Depp’s new film Rango, which he stars in with Isla Fisher is out soon here and came out at the weekend in the US.
