Isla Fisher has revealed that the first Hollywood party she attended saw her chaperoned into a kids room as they thought she was now husband, Sacha Baron Cohens daughter.
Fisher, who is now 35, attended the party with Cohen, 39, in 2002 and now has two daughters with the man famous for being Ali G and Borat.
Talking about the party that saw her taken into a separate room and refused alcohol Isla said, “My first Hollywood party was awesome. It was for the director Sofia Coppola and was just walk-to-wall with shiny, fabulous people.
“I came to the front door with Sacha, and the hostess goes, ‘Sacha, you go through to this room and you come with me.’
“And she grabs my hand and takes me to this room filled with 12 year olds – not even 15 year olds! – and goes, ‘Sit here. Would you like a drink?’ So I go, ‘Can I have a glass of wine?’ and she goes, ‘No, you cannot.’ She thought I was Sacha’s daughter, basically.”
Isla Fisher is currently promoting her new movie Rango, and admitted that she didn’t like celebrity parties much.
Speaking to Elle magazine she said, “Most people don’t know that Hollywood parties end at 10pm. I’d rather see a movie.”
