Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has revealed just how grateful he is to be able to do the job he does and have a family.
Grohl was worried earlier in his career that he wouldn’t be able to juggle the pair, especially as a band member of the travelling circus that was Nirvana.
Grohl is now father to two daughters with wife Jordyn, and said, “Having had such a good relationship with my mum and dad, I always imagined I’d have a family myself one day.
The star, whose daughters Violet and Harper are 4 and 1 respectively added, “I just couldn’t see it happening while I was playing in a band and going on tour, being a working, travelling musician.
“Then it dawned on me that you can do both and fortunately, we are able to. A lot of people struggle with it and we know how fortunate we are that we can have the luxury of touring less and having our families come out when we want or need them to.”
Grohl also added that when his drummer Taylor Hawkins overdosed, he saw life in a different light and decided to start a family.
“It was bad. Really bad. And it made me put things into perspective,” Grohl explained.
