The girls are set to reform for a world tour in 2012.

Rumours were stated that the girls did not get along but to prove this they are making a comeback next year.

The group split in July 2009 so they could pursue other projects. Both Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle released solo albums whereas Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh have avoided music and taken on other projects.

Cheryl, 27, has been a judge on the TV programme the X Factor but is now in talks to be on the US version later this year.

A source said: ‘Early next year is pencilled in for the reunion tour. It’s going to be absolutely massive.’

‘Cheryl could be a US superstar by then if her appearance on American X Factor goes according to plan this autumn, so they want to capitalise on that.’

‘It will also be the band’s 10-year anniversary in 2012, so the timing is just perfect.’

The girls are all going to the wedding of Sarah, 29, and DJ Tom Crane later this year despite all the rumours.

Sarah said: ‘All the girls will be at the hen night and, of course, the wedding. I really wish everyone would stop saying we don’t get on.’

Cheryl has also said of the group’s future plans: ‘We did sign a three album record deal just before we all did our own thing.’

So who knows what the future holds for Girls Aloud, only time will tell.
