After a tumultuous last week when Cole was dropped from the US X Factor over fears that her accent couldn’t be understood by the American audiences, it seems she isn’t having any luck this week either.

When it was announced that Fox would be axing her from the US judging panel despite support from the show’s creator and star judge Simon Cowell, rumours surfaced that she would return to the UK version of the show.

Although reportedly furious with the snub, Cole put on a brave face and commented she would be happy to return to the UK to keep her fans and supporters happy.

Unfortunately, ITV announced its judging lineup for the 2011 series on Monday and Cole’s name did not feature.

Instead it will comprise of returning judge Louis Walsh, Take That lead singer Gary Barlow, hip-hop star Tulisa Contostavlos and U.S. singer and Destiny’s Child founding member Kelly Rowland.

The ITV announcement made no mention of Cole’s possible involvement, and to date Cole’s website nor spokesperson have made any official comment on the news.
