Jon Bon Jovi and his band took to the stage at Madison Square Garden’s in New York this weekend, after an eventful week for the venue.
Bon Jovi followed in the footsteps of Lady Gaga and basketball star Carmelo Anthony, by performing at the gardens.
While introducing his bands ‘When We Were Beautiful’, Jon told his fans, “It’s great to be in New York, the greatest city in the entire universe.
“Madison Square Garden had some week, huh? We haven’t got crazy phones like Gaga, and we’re not the new kid in town like Melo, but, if you like a nice vintage wine that’s been around for awhile, then we’re the band for you.”
He also added at the end of the set, “Your friendship and support has meant everything to us for the last three decades. We came to Madison Square Garden when were kids taking the train to Penn Station but we sat in the cheap seats.”
