Progress, the reformed band’s first album with Robbie Williams for 15 years sold 1.84 million copies.
Take That’s 2006 reunion album, Beautiful World, sold 2.5 million copies in the UK and held the number one spot for eight weeks, with 2008′s The Circus selling one million copies in just 18 days.
Of the six albums the band have released, Progress is the group’s fifth number one studio album.
Michael Buble’s Crazy Love sold 1.23 million copies, while the third album; Lady Gaga’s The Fame selling 1.05 million copies.
The best selling single of 2010 was Eminem and Rihanna with their duet track Love The Way You Lie.
The single sold 854,000 copies, closely followed by X Factor winner Matt Cardle’s debut single When We Collide, with sales of 815,000.
In third place was bruno Mars’ single Just The Way You Are which sold 766,000.
X Factor winner stayed on top of the singles rundown in this week’s charts, while Take That were pushed down to second place on the album chart by Rhianna’s Loud.
